The Greatest Hope | Renewable Fuels Now

The Greatest Hope

According to world-renowned Arctic Explorer and respected environmentalist Will Steger, the greatest hope for reversing the effects of climate change lies with the “rising generation.” To that end, he has issued a “Call to Action” to young people to use their clout to halt global warming:

“Use your social networks to force a cultural shift in the way Americans use energy. And use your growing
power at the ballot box to demand more policies that will encourage the use of renewable transportation fuels and renewable power for electricity,” Steger said during a conference call with college reporters. “There is no time to waste.”

Steger, who is just embarking on a 1,400 mile dogsled expedition in the Arctic Circle with a crew of 6 emerging leaders of the “Greatest Hope” generation, has created numerous education programs through the Will Steger Foundation to increase public awareness of environmental issues and help foster new leadership dedicated to the advancement of state and federal policies to tackle the issues created by climate change. According to Steger, commitment to renewable fuels such as ethanol is essential to the environment. And, he noted: “We have it immediately.”
